\n \n \n Step 1 \u2014 Create your WithSecure\u2122 Business Account<\/span>\n <\/span>\n

You can manage WithSecure\u2122 Elements Collaboration Protection in one of two roles: as an end customer using it for your own organization, or as a partner managing it on behalf of a customer.<\/p>\n

As an end customer<\/h6>\n
    \n
  1. Go to\u00a0elements.withsecure.com\/self-register \u2197<\/a>.<\/li>\n
  2. Enter your email and the subscription key you received with your purchase to create the first administrator account.<\/li>\n
  3. To allow your subscription partner to manage the product on your behalf, leave the\u00a0Restrict Partner access to my organization<\/strong>\u00a0option unchecked.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
    Note:<\/strong>\u00a0To restrict access so that only your own administrator accounts can manage the product, turn on the\u00a0Restrict Partner access<\/strong>\u00a0option.<\/div>\n
    As a partner (managing on behalf of a customer)<\/h6>\n
      \n
    1. Go to\u00a0elements.withsecure.com\/self-register \u2197<\/a>.<\/li>\n
    2. Enter your email and the\u00a0Not-for-Resale (NFR) subscription key<\/strong>\u00a0to create the first administrator account.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
      Note:<\/strong>\u00a0If you purchased the product from a WithSecure\u2122 partner, the partner typically creates the Business Account for the first administrator in your organization. If this applies to you, you have received an email from WithSecure\u2122 with a temporary password and a link to log in to Elements Security Center.<\/div>\n<\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n
      \n \n \n Step 2 \u2014 Create a default policy<\/span>\n <\/span>\n

      Before rolling out WithSecure\u2122 Elements Collaboration Protection, you need to create a default policy for your company. A policy is a set of rules and settings that define how the product acts when a security threat is detected.<\/p>\n

      Important:<\/strong>\u00a0If you do not create a default policy, Elements Collaboration Protection uses the WithSecure Policy, which is created by WithSecure and cannot be modified.<\/div>\n
        \n
      1. In\u00a0Elements Security Center \u2197<\/a>, on the sidebar, select\u00a0Collaboration Protection > Policies<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
      2. Select\u00a0Add policy<\/strong>\u00a0at the top of the page.<\/li>\n
      3. Under\u00a0General<\/strong>, enter a name for the new policy in the\u00a0Policy name<\/strong>\u00a0field. You may also add a description and tags to make it easier to find later.<\/li>\n
      4. Under\u00a0Notifications<\/strong>, enter a recipient email address for sending notifications.<\/li>\n
      5. Select\u00a0Save<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
      6. On the Policies page, select the menu icon next to the policy you just created and select\u00a0Set as default<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

        The new policy is now the default and will be automatically assigned to every new cloud service that is created for the company. Next, configure the policy settings as needed, then proceed to connect your Microsoft 365 tenant.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n

        \n \n \n Step 3 \u2014 Log in to Elements Security Center and connect to Microsoft 365<\/span>\n <\/span>\n

        After creating your Business Account and default policy, connect WithSecure\u2122 Elements Collaboration Protection to your Microsoft Office 365 tenant.<\/p>\n

        Add the connection<\/h6>\n
          \n
        1. Open your browser and go to\u00a0elements.withsecure.com \u2197<\/a>. Enter your Business Account email and password, and complete any multi-factor authentication prompts.<\/li>\n
        2. On the sidebar, select\u00a0Collaboration Protection > Cloud services<\/strong>, then select\u00a0Add connection<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
        3. Under\u00a0Connection details<\/strong>, enter a name for the connection and specify your\u00a0Microsoft Azure Active Directory tenant name or ID<\/strong>. If you have multiple subscriptions, select the correct subscription key.<\/li>\n
        4. Select\u00a0Next<\/strong>, review the summary, then select\u00a0Add connection<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0Close<\/strong>.<\/li>\n
        5. On the Cloud services page, authorize and connect each service you want to protect by selecting\u00a0Authorize<\/strong>\u00a0in the relevant column and then selecting\u00a0Connect<\/strong>:\n
