There are two scenarios:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"bullet-list\">\n<li><strong>Partner-created account:<\/strong>\u00a0When you purchase the product from a WithSecure\u2122 partner, the partner typically creates a Business Account for the first administrator in your organization. You will have received an email from WithSecure\u2122 with a temporary password and a link to log in to Elements Security Center.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Self-registration with a subscription key:<\/strong>\u00a0If your account has not yet been created but you have received a subscription key from your partner, you can use it to self-register. Go to\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/elements.withsecure.com\/self-register\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">elements.withsecure.com\/self-register \u2197<\/a>\u00a0and follow the on-screen instructions to create a Business Account for the first administrator in your organization.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div class=\"info-box\"><strong>Tip:<\/strong>\u00a0If you have not received the welcome email, check your junk mail folder. The invitation contains a personalized download link and an activation link for the app.<\/p>\n<ol class=\"numbered-list\">\n<li>In Elements Security Center, under\u00a0<strong>Environment<\/strong>, select\u00a0<strong>Devices &gt; Mobile devices<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Select the\u00a0<strong>three-dots icon<\/strong>\u00a0next to Devices, then select\u00a0<strong>Add new device<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Select the subscription to use and select\u00a0<strong>Next<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Follow the steps in the wizard and send an email invitation to one or more users with a download link to the installer.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<div class=\"info-box\"><strong>How invitations work:<\/strong>\u00a0Each invitation link is unique and valid for a single installation within 29 days of being sent. Sent invitations remain visible in the portal until installation is complete. You can re-send an invitation or generate a new one with an updated link if the previous one expires.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div class=\"info-box\"><strong>Deploying via MDM?<\/strong>\u00a0If you are deploying to a large number of devices using an MDM solution such as Microsoft Intune, VMware Workspace ONE, Google Workspace, IBM MaaS360, Ivanti Endpoint Management, Miradore, or Samsung Knox, see the MDM deployment appendix in the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/support.withsecure.com\/userguides\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Elements Mobile Protection for Android user guide \u2197<\/a>. They will receive an email with two links: one to install the app from Google Play Store, and one to activate the license.<\/p>\n<ol class=\"numbered-list\">\n<li>Open the invitation email on the Android device.<\/li>\n<li>Tap the link next to\u00a0<strong>Android<\/strong>. You are redirected to Google Play Store where you can download and install the WithSecure\u2122 Mobile Protection app.<\/li>\n<li>After the app has installed, go back to the invitation email and tap\u00a0<strong>Activate for Android<\/strong>\u00a0to activate the subscription.<\/li>\n<li>When prompted, tap\u00a0<strong>Allow<\/strong>\u00a0to grant the app the permissions it needs. The app requires access to photos, media, and files to scan for harmful items.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<div class=\"warn-box\"><strong>Important \u2014 activation link behavior:<\/strong>\u00a0The activation link is valid for 29 days and can only be used once. If you have already logged in to the app with the username and password from the email but have not yet activated the license, you can still use the activation link. However, if you tap the activation link first and it fails for any reason, you will no longer be able to manually enter the credentials. If this happens, contact your administrator for a new invitation.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div class=\"info-box\"><strong>Note:<\/strong>\u00a0The portal displays devices using the first and last names provided in the invitation. Network protection must be turned on first \u2014 it is required for reputation-based browsing.<\/p>\n<h6 class=\"sub-heading\">Network protection<\/h6>\n<p class=\"prose\">Network protection evaluates the reputation of URLs before websites are loaded, using WithSecure\u2122 Security Cloud. To turn it on, open the app and on the main view under\u00a0<strong>Network Protection<\/strong>, tap\u00a0<strong>Protection: OFF<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h6 class=\"sub-heading\">SMS protection<\/h6>\n<p class=\"prose\">SMS protection scans incoming SMS messages for unsafe links and malicious QR codes. Messages identified as unsafe are moved to the Junk folder automatically. To turn it on, open the app and on the main view under\u00a0<strong>SMS protection<\/strong>, tap\u00a0<strong>Protection: OFF<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h6 class=\"sub-heading\">Reputation-based browsing<\/h6>\n<p class=\"prose\">Reputation-based browsing blocks websites that are suspicious or known to be malicious. It works at the network level across all browsers, providing protection regardless of which browser the user chooses.<\/p>\n<p class=\"prose\">To turn it on:<\/p>\n<ol class=\"numbered-list\">\n<li>In the app, tap the menu icon (\u2630) to open the\u00a0<strong>Menu<\/strong>\u00a0view.<\/li>\n<li>Tap\u00a0<strong>Settings<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Turn on\u00a0<strong>Reputation-based browsing<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p class=\"prose\">Once on, you can optionally enable individual blocking categories: harmful sites, suspicious sites, prohibited sites, trackers, and recently created domains.<\/p>\n<h6 class=\"sub-heading\">Malware protection<\/h6>\n<p class=\"prose\">Elements Mobile Protection for Android can scan your device for viruses and other threats. Automatic scanning is on by default and runs whenever an installed app is updated, the device restarts, or an SD card is mounted. You can also run a manual scan at any time.<\/p>\n<p class=\"prose\"><strong>Manual scan:<\/strong>\u00a0On the main view, tap\u00a0<strong>Malware Protection<\/strong>, then tap\u00a0<strong>Start scan<\/strong>. When complete, the app shows files checked, apps checked, and threats detected.<\/p>\n<p class=\"prose\"><strong>Automatic scan settings:<\/strong>\u00a0Tap the menu icon (\u2630), then\u00a0<strong>Settings<\/strong>, and turn on\u00a0<strong>Antivirus<\/strong>.
