There are two scenarios:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"bullet-list\">\n<li>When you purchase the product from a WithSecure partner, the partner typically creates a Business Account for the first administrator in your organization. Before MDR can start monitoring your environment, you need to deploy the Elements Agent across your organization&#8217;s devices. The agent collects behavioral data and sends it to WithSecure analysts for investigation.<\/p>\n<p>The same Elements Agent installer covers Windows, Mac, and Linux. Download it from\u00a0<strong>Management &gt; Downloads<\/strong>\u00a0in Elements Security Center, then choose the deployment method that fits your environment:<\/p>\n<h6 class=\"sub-heading\">Windows<\/h6>\n<ul class=\"bullet-list\">\n<li><strong>Manual (EXE):<\/strong>\u00a0Download the EXE installer with your subscription key embedded and run it directly on each device. Suitable for small environments.<\/li>\n<li><strong>MSI \/ GPO:<\/strong>\u00a0Use the MSI file with the WithSecure MSI transformation tool to embed your subscription key, then deploy via Active Directory Group Policy or your RMM tool.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Microsoft Intune:<\/strong>\u00a0Deploy as a line-of-business app (MSI) or a Win32 app (EXE wrapped with IntuneWinAppUtil). Pass your subscription key as a command-line argument.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Email invitation:<\/strong>\u00a0Under\u00a0<strong>Environment &gt; Devices<\/strong>, select\u00a0<strong>Add new device<\/strong>\u00a0to send users an installation link by email. If it does, continue to the next section.<\/li>\n<li>If it is not listed, select\u00a0<strong>Assign Subscription<\/strong>\u00a0and enter your MDR subscription code.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h6 class=\"sub-heading\">Enable Advanced Response<\/h6>\n<ol class=\"numbered-list\">\n<li>Go to\u00a0<strong>Security Configurations &gt; Profiles<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Open a profile in the profile editor and navigate to\u00a0<strong>General Settings &gt; Integrations<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Turn on\u00a0<strong>Advanced Response<\/strong>\u00a0and save the profile.<\/li>\n<li>Repeat for each profile in use in your organization.<\/li>\n<li>Confirm that the updated profiles are correctly assigned and that Advanced Response shows as enabled on your active devices.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<div class=\"info-box\"><strong>Note:<\/strong>\u00a0Advanced Response is what authorizes WithSecure analysts to act on your behalf during an incident. To ensure analysts can reach your team when a confirmed threat requires immediate action, you must provide primary and secondary on-call contacts. You should also activate automated actions to allow immediate response without delays.<\/p>\n<h6 class=\"sub-heading\">Add escalation contacts<\/h6>\n<ol class=\"numbered-list\">\n<li>Go to\u00a0<strong>Management &gt; Subscriptions<\/strong>\u00a0and select\u00a0<strong>WithSecure MDR<\/strong>\u00a0from the list.<\/li>\n<li>On the Subscription information page, add two incident response contacts. For each, enter their time zone, full name, country code, phone number, and the hours they are available to be called.<\/li>\n<li>Make sure that Contact 1 or Contact 2 is available at all times \u2014 between them, they must cover 24\/7.<\/li>\n<li>Select\u00a0<strong>Save<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<div class=\"info-box\"><strong>Important:<\/strong>\u00a0Contacts are called by WithSecure Threat Analysts when a serious incident is confirmed and containment or remediation actions on servers require your explicit approval. Keep this information up to date.<\/div>\n<h6 class=\"sub-heading\">Activate automated actions<\/h6>\n<ol class=\"numbered-list\">\n<li>Go to\u00a0<strong>Security Configurations &gt; Automated actions<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Activate the automated action for\u00a0<strong>WithSecure MDR<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>Your environment is now ready.
