How to block or allow (exclude) websites with the Elements Endpoint Protection Browsing protection feature,<\/p>\n

Can it also be done using the local WithSecure client user interface without having to do so from the Elements Endpoint Protection portal?<\/p>\n

Resolution:<\/h3>\n

Follow the steps below to either block a website or allow it through the Endpoint Protection device profile:<\/p>\n

  1. Log in to the Elements Security Center Portal: https:\/\/elements.withsecure.com<\/a><\/li>\n
  2. Open the\u00a0Security configurations\u00a0<\/strong>section from the menu on the left<\/li>\n
  3. Go to the\u00a0Profiles\u00a0<\/b>page<\/li>\n
  4. Select the profile you want to edit\u00a0\n
      \n
    • Note that default profiles owned by WithSecure cannot be edited. You need to clone or create your own profile which you can edit and assign to the devices<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n
    • Go to the\u00a0Browsing protection\u00a0<\/b>settings page<\/li>\n
    • Scroll down to the Web site exceptions\u00a0<\/b>section and\u00a0enable\u00a0<\/b>it<\/li>\n
    • Click Add site\u00a0<\/b>under either\u00a0Allowed sites\u00a0<\/b>or\u00a0Denied sites\u00a0<\/b>depending on which you want to do<\/li>\n
    • Add the website URL address<\/li>\n
    • Click\u00a0Save profile<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      Follow the steps below to either block a website or allow it through the local WithSecure Elements Agent user interface<\/p>\n

      Note:<\/b>\u00a0Make sure you have administrator privileges to the computer, since modifying settings requires administrator level access.<\/p>\n

      1. Open the WithSecure Elements Agent\u00a0<\/b>and go to Settings<\/b><\/li>\n
      2. Go to the\u00a0Secure Browsing\u00a0<\/b>tab<\/li>\n
      3. Click View website exceptions\u00a0<\/b>(you will be prompted for the admin user name and password)\u00a0<\/li>\n
      4. Select the\u00a0Allowed <\/b>or\u00a0Denied\u00a0<\/b>tab\u00a0<\/li>\n
      5. Click\u00a0Add…<\/b><\/li>\n
