How to locally turn off or disable firewall temporarily for a Client Security Windows host computer?\u00a0<\/p>\n

Resolution:<\/h3>\n

First make sure the firewall setting is not locked in the policy:<\/p>\n

  1. Log in to the Policy Manager Console<\/li>\n
  2. Select a host or policy domain from the domain tree<\/li>\n
  3. Go to the\u00a0Settings\u00a0<\/b>tab<\/li>\n
  4. Go to the\u00a0Firewall\u00a0<\/b>settings page<\/li>\n
  5. Disable the lock for the setting called\u00a0Enable Windows firewall<\/b><\/li>\n
  6. Distribute the policy (Ctrl + D)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Now the user will be able to disable the firewall temporarily from theClient Security settings if they have administrator rights:<\/p>\n

    1. Open the Client Security user interface on the device<\/li>\n
    2. Click on the cogwheel icon<\/b> to go to Settings<\/li>\n
    3. Go to the Firewall\u00a0<\/b>settings page<\/li>\n
    4. Click on the Turn off firewall temporarily<\/b>\u00a0button<\/li>\n
    5. Select the amount of time the firewall should be turned off and click Turn off<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      This will turn of the Windows Firewall and not just the WithSecure firewall profile. If you would only want to disable the WithSecure firewall rules, you can either assign a policy which does not have the\u00a0Enable firewall configuration through Policy Manager\u00a0<\/b>setting in use, or you can turn off all security features.
