We are trying install Elements Linux Protection (EPP for Server) and getting following error during installation \/ activation of the subscription key:<\/p>\n

If you receive fshttps.c:589[7] a timeout occurred or fsguts2.c:2093[7] unable to perform the HTTP operation, error 201 (timed out) errors during installation and activation of Linux Protection, it most likely is not able to communicate with the WithSecure backend servers for license activation and downloading virus definition updates.<\/p>\n

Follow this guide to ensure proper installation on the device.<\/p>\n

  1. Perform full uninstallation of the current installation of Linux Protection product: Uninstalling the product | Linux Protection | Latest | WithSecure User Guides<\/a><\/li>\n
  2. Restart the linux server to make sure that all hanging services and processes are run down<\/li>\n
  3. Make sure all dependencies are installed: Installing the product for use with WithSecure Elements Endpoint Protection | Linux Protection | Latest | WithSecure User Guides<\/a>\u00a0<\/li>\n
  4. Make sure Linux device is able to connect to *.fsapi.com. If proxy is required, follow the HTTP proxy activation instructions from here: Installing the product using a DEB or RPM package | Linux Protection | Latest | WithSecure User Guides<\/a>\u00a0<\/li>\n
  5. Download the latest installer from the Elements Security Center portal's Management > Downloads <\/strong>page<\/li>\n
  6. Run the installer on package on the Linux device. Installation command depens on if AMD64 or ARM64 is used:\n

    1. dpkg -i linuxsecurity-installer_amd64.deb<\/li>\n
    2. dpkg -i linuxsecurity-installer_arm64.deb<\/li>\n
    3. rpm -Uvh linuxsecurity-installer.x86_64.rpm<\/li>\n
    4. rpm -Uvh linuxsecurity-installer.aarch64.rpm<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n
    5. To activate the product, run the following command: \/opt\/f-secure\/linuxsecurity\/bin\/activate –psb –subscription-key SUBSCRIPTION-KEY<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
