The remove button is greyed out for some items or applications in the App and file control's Excluded tab in the Client Security or Server Security user interface.<\/p>\n

Resolution:<\/h3>\n

The Remove<\/strong> button in the App and file control window's Excluded <\/strong>tab can be grayed out and unclickable for specific items or applications on the list\u00a0because the exclusion has been created by an administrator as a policy distributed from the Policy Manager Console. You can ask your administrator to remove the exclusion.\u00a0<\/p>\n

In the Policy Manager Console, the exclusion can be removed like by following these steps:<\/p>\n

  1. Open the Policy Manager Console<\/li>\n
  2. Select a host or policy domain from the domain tree<\/li>\n
  3. Go to the Settings <\/b>tab<\/li>\n
  4. Navigate to the Windows > Real-time scanning <\/strong>settings page<\/li>\n
  5. Scroll down to the Files and applications excluded from scanning <\/strong>table<\/li>\n
  6. Select the file path from the list\u00a0<\/li>\n
  7. Click Clear row<\/strong><\/li>\n
  8. Distribute the policy (Ctrl + D)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    The Remove <\/strong>button can also be grayed out and unclickable if the administrator has prevented local users from creating exclusions locally on the devices. To allow local users to add exclusions:<\/p>\n
