{"id":7197,"date":"2025-09-04T09:38:45","date_gmt":"2025-09-04T06:38:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/support.withsecure.com\/?post_type=announcement&#038;p=7197"},"modified":"2026-10-19T13:10:11","modified_gmt":"2026-10-19T10:10:11","slug":"elements-role-assignments-changes-15-december-2025","status":"publish","type":"announcement","link":"https:\/\/support.withsecure.com\/fi\/announcements\/elements-role-assignments-changes-15-december-2025\/","title":{"rendered":"Elements Role Assignments changes &#8211; 15 December 2025"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Last year, we <a href=\"https:\/\/community.withsecure.com\/en\/kb\/articles\/31425-elements-iam-administrator-role-existing-administrators-can-claim-the-new-role\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener ugc\">announced<\/a> that we are making changes to how user roles are assigned in WithSecure Elements.<\/p>\n<p>The next step will be to disable the user and permission management capabilities for the following roles, on organizations that have the <strong>Identity and Access Management<\/strong> (<strong>IAM<\/strong>) role defined.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Exposure Management <\/strong>&gt; <strong>Exposure<\/strong> &gt; <strong>Full Editing<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Exposure Management<\/strong> &gt; <strong>Vulnerabilities<\/strong> &gt; <strong>Management<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Collaboration Protection<\/strong> &gt; <strong>Management<\/strong> &gt; <strong>Admin<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Endpoint Protection<\/strong> &gt; <strong>Full Editing (Computers &amp; Servers)<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Other capabilities of these roles is not affected by this change.<\/p>\n<p>From 15 December 2025, organizations who have the <strong>IAM<\/strong> role defined:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Will <strong>NOT<\/strong> be able to assign roles with the older methods<\/li>\n<li>Will <strong>ONLY<\/strong> be able to assign user roles when logged in with an IAM user<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The vast majority of organizations in WithSecure Elements already have the <strong>IAM<\/strong> role enabled, and our goal is that all organizations will have this defined soon.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Last year, we announced that we are making changes to how user roles are assigned in WithSecure Elements.
