Issue:<\/h3>\n

I am trying to uninstall WithSecure Elements Agent (EPP for Computers or Computer Protection for Mac) from my Windows or MacOS computer, but I get the error notification:\u00a0
"Uninstallation is not allowed, Settings do not allow local uninstallation. Contact your administrator<\/i>."<\/p>\n

Resolution:<\/h3>\n

This is due to the Elements Endpoint Protection profile setting that disallows a user from uninstalling the product locally.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Please ask your Elements account administrator to change the following setting to allow local uninstallation:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Log in to the Elements Security Center Portal: https:\/\/elements.withsecure.com<\/a><\/li>\n
  2. Expand the Security Configurations<\/strong> category<\/li>\n
  3. Go to the\u00a0Profiles\u00a0<\/b>page<\/li>\n
  4. Select the profile that is assigned to the computer\u00a0<\/li>\n
  5. Go to the\u00a0General <\/b>Settings page<\/li>\n
  6. Enable to Allow the user to uninstall the product\u00a0<\/b><\/li>\n
  7. Click Save profile<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Now you can uninstall Elements Agent locally from the device.<\/p>\n

    Note:<\/strong> On Windows devices Tamper protection <\/strong>feature is enabled by default in the Elements profile. This will block wsuninstallationtool.exe from running.\u00a0<\/p>\n

    If the above fails on a Mac and the uninstallation is still not possible, try the following.<\/b>
    Remove the following file using the terminal command below and try the uninstallation again:<\/p>\n

    In case of build version 38681 and newer:<\/b><\/p>\n

      \n
    • sudo rm \/Library\/F-Secure\/fsmac\/sysconfig\/.no_uninstall<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      In case of older build version than 38681:<\/b><\/p>\n

        \n
      • sudo rm \/usr\/local\/f-secure\/fsmac\/sysconfig\/.no_uninstall<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
