Issue:<\/h3>\n

Admin would like to receive an email alert or notification when Elements Endpoint Protection Malware Protection feature has been disabled on a device for any reason.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Resolution:<\/h3>\n

To receive a daily email report if any Elements devices have their Malware Protection disabled, you need to first create a custom view on the Elements Security Center portal's Environment > Devices <\/strong>page and then use that custom view as the data source for an email notification and report.\u00a0<\/p>\n

How to create a custom view that lists all the devices which do not have malware protection enabled:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Log in to the Elements Security Center portal<\/li>\n
  2. Navigate to the Environment > Devices <\/strong>page<\/li>\n
  3. From the View <\/strong>drop-down menu, select the Overall status <\/strong>view<\/li>\n
  4. Click Select field <\/strong>from the filter creator (top-left corner of table) and create the following filter:\n
      \n
    1. Malware Protection – Not equals – Enabled\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n
    2. Click Apply<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      Then you need to save the new view and set it as an organization view so that it can be selected as a data source in an email notification and report:<\/p>\n

      1. Open the View <\/strong>drop-down menu in top-right corner\u00a0<\/li>\n
      2. Click Save<\/strong> as…<\/li>\n
      3. Enter a name\u00a0<\/li>\n
      4. Click Save<\/strong><\/li>\n
      5. Open the View <\/strong>drop-down menu again<\/li>\n
      6. Click on the three dots on the right side of the newly saved view\u00a0<\/li>\n
      7. Click Copy to organization views<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

        Now you can create an email notification and report using this view as a data source:<\/p>\n

        1. Go to the Reports > Email notification and report <\/strong>page<\/li>\n
        2. Click Add email report<\/strong><\/li>\n
        3. Enter name and select\u00a0Data source = Devices<\/strong><\/li>\n
        4. From the Template <\/strong>drop-down, select the custom view which you just created<\/li>\n
        5. In the Schedule <\/strong>section, select Frequency <\/strong>as Daily\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n
        6. Select the time<\/li>\n
        7. Enable Send only when report has content <\/strong>so that an empty report is not sent<\/li>\n
