How to create a targeted scheduled scanning task (daily, weekly or monthly) for Elements Endpoint Protection (EPP for Computers or EPP for Servers)? How to have a scheduled scan only scan a specific folder and its sub folders?\u00a0<\/p>\n

Resolution:<\/h3>\n

There is no way of creating a targeted Scheduled scanning task from the Elements Security Center Portal profiles, but you can create one locally on the computer.<\/p>\n

Follow these steps to create a targeted scheduled scanning task with Windows Task Scheduler:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Open Windows Task Scheduler<\/li>\n
  2. Go to the Task Scheduler Library<\/b> folder<\/li>\n
  3. Right-click and select Create a Basic Task<\/b><\/li>\n
  4. Set the Trigger as Daily<\/b>, Weekly<\/b> or Monthly<\/b> and click Next<\/b><\/li>\n
  5. Set the Start date and time and click Next<\/b><\/li>\n
  6. Set action as Start a program\u00a0<\/b>and click\u00a0Next<\/b><\/li>\n
  7. Add the following to the program\/script<\/b> field: "C:\\Program Files (x86)\\F-Secure\\PSB\\fsscan.exe"<\/b><\/li>\n
  8. Add the following to the add<\/b>\u00a0arguments<\/b> field: -s <Target folder>\u00a0<\/b>(for example "C:\\Program Files (x86)\\Test") and click Next<\/b><\/li>\n
  9. Finish the task by clicking\u00a0Finish\u00a0<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    This task will now run at the date and time you chose and will scan the folder and subfolders of the Target folder. The scan settings will be the ones shown on the\u00a0Scanning settings\u00a0<\/b>page in the Elements Endpoint Protection Agent local settings.<\/p>\n

    The latest scan report can be viewed locally by following these steps:<\/p>\n

    1. Open the Elements Agent user interface<\/li>\n
    2. Click on the\u00a0Manual scanning\u00a0<\/b>icon (magnifying glass)<\/li>\n
    3. Click\u00a0Open last scanning report<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      All the scanning reports will also be available in C:\\Users\\<username>\\AppData\\Local\\F-Secure\\AntiVirus\\ScanningReports\\<\/p>\n

      The latest scanning report will also be visible in the Elements Security Center Portal:<\/p>\n
