Issue:<\/h3>\n

When an Elements Endpoint Protection scheduled scanning task is missed, for example if computer is in sleep mode or turned off \/ shut down, will the task start immediately when device is turned on?<\/p>\n

Resolution:<\/h3>\n

If you create a\u00a0Scheduled scan for malware<\/b>\u00a0Automated task in the Elements Endpoint Protection profile, you can set the task to\u00a0Never skip <\/b>if the previous start time has been missed.<\/p>\n

  1. Log in to the Elements Security Center portal<\/li>\n
  2. Navigate to the Security configurations > <\/strong>Profiles\u00a0<\/b>page<\/li>\n
  3. Select the profile you want to modify<\/li>\n
  4. Go to the\u00a0Automated tasks\u00a0<\/b>settings page<\/li>\n
  5. Click\u00a0Add task<\/b><\/li>\n
  6. Select\u00a0Scheduled scan for malware\u00a0<\/b>from the\u00a0Type\u00a0<\/b>drop-down menu<\/li>\n
  7. Use CRON expressions in the\u00a0Schedule\u00a0<\/b>column to set the task start time<\/li>\n
  8. Enable Never skip <\/b>toggle from the Never skip<\/strong> column<\/li>\n
  9. Click\u00a0Save profile<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Note:\u00a0<\/b>The Scheduled scanning<\/b> setting on the\u00a0Manual scanning\u00a0<\/b>settings page in the profile does not support any kind of Never skip<\/strong>\u00a0<\/b>setting. If a scheduled scan is missed when using the\u00a0Manual scanning – Scheduled scanning <\/b>setting, then the scan will start the next scheduled time.\u00a0<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
