Issue:<\/h3>\n

One or more Windows servers installed with Elements Agent (Endpoint Protection for Servers) do not appear or aren't visible on the Elements Security Center portal's\u00a0Environment > Devices <\/strong>list.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Why is the virtual server not listed on the Devices list?\u00a0<\/p>\n

Resolution:<\/h3>\n

If you have installed Elements Endpoint Protection for Servers on a virtual Windows server, it could be that two or more devices have now the same exact Unique ID (UUID). If two or more devices have the same UUID, only one can appear in the portal at a time since they are considered to be one device by the portal.\u00a0<\/p>\n

In this situation you should reset the host UID on one of the devices and see if it appears in the Elements Endpoint Protection portal. You can reset the UID by using the ws_oneclient_logout.exe tool that is found from the products installation folder.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Steps:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Open a Command Prompt as administrator<\/li>\n
  2. Navigate to C:\\Program Files (x86)\\F-Secure\\PSB<\/li>\n
  3. Run command:\n
      \n
    1. ws_oneclient_logout.exe –keycode XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      This will register the Elements Agent installation with a random Unique ID (UUID). Once it has a unique ID, the server should appear on the Elements portal's Devices<\/strong> list.\u00a0<\/p>\n

      If is doesn't, run the wsconnectionchecker.exe from C:\\Program Files (x86)\\F-Secure\\PSB\\ui <\/strong>to make sure that the server is able to connect to the Elements Security Center portal.<\/p>\n
