Policy Manager Server could not connect to the WithSecure registration server"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3>Issue:<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>When trying to register a Policy Manager Server, we are getting this error:\u00a0\u00a0<i>The registration cannot be validated. WithSecure Policy Manager Server could not connect to the WithSecure registration server <em>(<\/em><\/i><em>https:\/\/corp-reg.fsapi.com)<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Resolution:<\/h3>\n<p><b>What should I do if registration fails, saying that my customer number could not be validated?<\/b><\/p>\n<p>The first thing you shoul do, if you get this error message, is to check that you are running a supported\u00a0version of Policy Manager Server. Check that the Policy Manager version you are running on your server isnot listed as end-of-life: <a id=\"menur41f\" href=\"https:\/\/www.withsecure.com\/en\/support\/product-lifecycle-announcements\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"https:\/\/www.withsecure.com\/en\/support\/product-lifecycle-announcements\" rel=\"noopener\">https:\/\/www.withsecure.com\/en\/support\/product-lifecycle-announcements<\/a><\/p>\n<p>If your Policy Manager Server is supported, check your network configuration to make sure that Policy\u00a0Manager Server is able to access the registration server.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>version 15:\u00a0<a id=\"menur41h\" href=\"https:\/\/corp-reg.f-secure.com\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"https:\/\/corp-reg.f-secure.com\/\" rel=\"noopener\">https:\/\/corp-reg.f-secure.com<\/a><\/li>\n<li>version 16: <a id=\"menur41j\" href=\"https:\/\/corp-reg.fsapi.com\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"https:\/\/corp-reg.fsapi.com\/\" rel=\"noopener\">https:\/\/corp-reg.fsapi.com<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Steps to test the connectivity from the same host where Policy Manager Server is installed:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>You need Command Prompt and curl.exe\u00a0to run the following command:<br \/>\tcurl\u00a0<a id=\"menur41l\" href=\"https:\/\/corp-reg.fsapi.com\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"https:\/\/corp-reg.fsapi.com\/\" rel=\"noopener\">https:\/\/corp-reg.fsapi.com<\/a>\n<ul>\n<li>Connection can be treated as successful if you get the html output containing the following:\u00a0<br \/>\t\t&lt;title&gt;Error 404 Not Found&lt;\/title&gt;<br \/>\t\t&lt;body&gt;&lt;h2&gt;HTTP ERROR 404 Not Found&lt;\/h2&gt;<\/li>\n<li>If you use a\u00a0HTTP proxy, test the connectivity via this proxy:\u00a0<br \/>\t\tcurl <a id=\"menur41n\" href=\"https:\/\/corp-reg.fsapi.com\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"https:\/\/corp-reg.fsapi.com\/\" rel=\"noopener\">https:\/\/corp-reg.fsapi.com<\/a> &#8211;proxy [protocol:\/\/]proxy_address[:port]<\/li>\n<li>If you cannot use curl, try to access <a id=\"menur41p\" href=\"https:\/\/corp-reg.\" target=\"_blank\" title=\"https:\/\/corp-reg.\/\">https:\/\/corp-reg.<\/a>fsapi.com via Browser<\/li>\n<li>Make sure that TLSv1.2 has been enabled. If yes, check and remove the value from additionalJavaArgs and restart fspms service\n<ul>\n<li>-DhttpsExcludedProtocols=TLSv1.2<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>If the connection is blocked, make sure you have allowed the DNS names *. f-secure.com and*. fsapi.com to your firewall, as described <a href=\"https:\/\/community.withsecure.com\/en\/kb\/articles\/31208-network-addresses-for-withsecure-on-premise-products\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">here<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>If the browser test is showing that the site is not trusted, it would mean that your host does not trust Amazon Root CA 1 root certificate or intermediate ones.<\/li>\n<li>If you are using a HTTP proxy, please configure it in the\u00a0fspms.proxy.config. After the configuration, restart the Policy Manager Service. Depending on the Policy Manger versions and operating system the\u00a0config file is\u00a0located at:\n<ul>\n<li>Windows:\n<ul>\n<li>version 15:\u00a0C:\\Program Files (x86)\\F-Secure\\Management Server 5\\data\\fspms.proxy.config<\/li>\n<li>version 16: C:\\ProgramData\\WithSecure\\NS\\Policy Manager\\Policy Manager Server\\data\\fspms.proxy.config<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Linux: \/var\/opt\/f-secure\/fspms\/data\/fspms.proxy.config<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The registration cannot be validated.
