{"id":9205,"date":"2026-10-26T11:57:03","date_gmt":"2026-10-26T09:57:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/support.withsecure.com\/support-articles\/the-firewall-rule-i-created-in-elements-portal-for-endpoint-protection-devices-is-not-working\/"},"modified":"2026-10-26T11:57:03","modified_gmt":"2026-10-26T09:57:03","slug":"the-firewall-rule-i-created-in-elements-portal-for-endpoint-protection-devices-is-not-working","status":"publish","type":"support_article","link":"https:\/\/support.withsecure.com\/jp-ja\/support-articles\/the-firewall-rule-i-created-in-elements-portal-for-endpoint-protection-devices-is-not-working\/","title":{"rendered":"The firewall rule I created in Elements portal for Endpoint Protection devices is not working"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3>Issue:<\/h3>\n<p>The firewall rule I created in the Elements Security Center Portal profiles for EPP for Computers or EPP for Servers devices does not work or the firewall rule doesn&#39;t appear on the device.\u00a0<\/p>\n<h3>Resolution:<\/h3>\n<p>If the firewall rule that you created in the Elements Endpoint Protection profile is not visible on the devices, there are a few reasons:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The firewall profile to which you created the firewall rule to isn&#39;t the one in use on the devices<\/li>\n<li>There was an error in the firewall rule and it couldn&#39;t be created.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>First you need to check that the firewall profile you edited is the one that is actually in use on that profile:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Log in to the Elements Security Center Portal<\/li>\n<li>Go to the <strong>Security configurations &gt;<\/strong><b>profiles\u00a0<\/b>page<\/li>\n<li>Select the profile you want to edit<\/li>\n<li>Go to the\u00a0<b>Firewall <\/b>settings page<\/li>\n<li>Check that you have from the <strong>WithSecure firewall profile <\/strong>drop-down menu selected the same firewall profile to which yo have added the firewall rule to. Default profile is <strong>Normal workstation<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Also on the <b>Firewall <\/b>page,\u00a0 make sure that the <strong>WithSecure firewall mode <\/strong>is set as <strong>Turn on Withsecure firewall<\/strong><\/li>\n<li>Click <strong>Save profile<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>If the firewall rule still is not working after you have made sure the firewall profile you are editing is correct, the issue could be with the rule itself. Invalid rules which do not follow the Windows Defender Firewall standards, will not appear in the Firewall rules list in Windows:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Check that the <b>local\u00a0<\/b>and\u00a0<b>remote IP addresses\u00a0<\/b>and\u00a0<b>ports\u00a0<\/b>are correct.
