Elements Software Updater rebooted computer without notifying user

Issue:

Elements Endpoint Protection Software Updater feature restarted a user's computer without showing a notification that the computer will be restarted. 

Resolution:

If Elements Endpoint Protection Software Updater restarted a computer without showing a restart notification, make sure that the Reboot notification policy is set as Every user in the profile:

1. Log in to the Elements Security Center portal
2. Navigate to the Security configurations > Profiles page
3. Open the profile that is in use on the devices
4. Go to the Software Updater settings page
5. Scroll down to the Restart settings section
6. Make sure the Reboot notification policy is set as Every user
7. Click Save profile

If you have Allow user to postpone restart disabled, the device will be force restarted based on the hours value set in the Force restart in (hours) field. When the maximum time listed on the Force restart in (hours) setting is met, the device will be force restarted without notifying the user. 

If Allow user to postpone restart is enabled, then user will be allowed to postpone the restart indefinitely.
