How to move WithSecure Policy Manager Server location to other drive and custom path from the default location?
Resolution:
To change the location of Policy Manager Server data, you can follow the steps below:
- Stop the Policy Manager Server service (net stop wspms)
- Open the Windows Registry Editor (regedit)
- Navigate to HKLM/SOFTWARE\WithSecure\Policy Manager\Policy Manager Server\
- Open ApplicationDataDirectory
- Check the path from the value data and backup the folder
- Change the value to the location where you want Policy Manager Server to save the data
- Copy the backed up data to the new path which you entered in the ApplicationDataDirectory value data field
- Start the Policy Manager Server service (net start wspms)
Now the Policy Manager Server data is saved to the new location.
The same move can be done for Policy Manager Console, but the registry path is HKLM/SOFTWARE\WithSecure\Policy Manager\Policy Manager Console\
