How to see the last connection date or time of an Elements Endpoint Protection device to the Elements portal?
Last updated
Issue:
Is it possible to find out when an Elements Endpoint Protection (EPP for Computers or EPP for Servers) device has pinged the Endpoint Protection Portal server most recently and has had its status updated? Is it possible to filter the devices list to only show devices which have not connected in a long time?
Resolution:
The Elements Security Center Portal's Environment > Devices list includes the Status updated information column, from which you can determine when a device has last connected to the Elements Security Center Portal.
Follow these steps to sort the Devices list with the Status updated information:
- Log in to the Elements Security Center portal
- Go to the Environment > Devices list
- From the top-right view drop-down menu, select the Overall status as the view
- Click on the Status updated column to sort the list according to the last status updated date
To show only devices which have not connected in a long time, you can use the filter feature on the Devices page to show only devices which have not connected for example in a month:
- Log in to the Elements Security Center portal
- Navigate to the Environment > Devices page
- Add a: Status updated – Not within – Last 30 days filter and click Apply
Now only devices which have a status updated value that is not within the last month will be shown on the Devices list.
If you wish to filter the list even more granularly, you can export a full CSV report of the devices from the Elements Security Center Portal and import it to a spreadsheet program, such as Excel.
How to export devices list as a CSV from the Elements Portal:
- Log in to the Elements Security Center Portal
- Go to the Environment > Devices page
- Click on the three dots
- Select Export devices(CSV)
How to import the report in Excel:
- Open Excel
- Open a blank spreadsheet
- Go to the Data tab
- Click From Text/CSV
- Select the .csv report
- Click Load
Now you have all the data in a single spreadsheet, which you can filter using the built-in tools in Excel.
