What is the difference between the “import from file (JSON)” and “replace from file (JSON)” options in Device Control settings in the Elements profile?

Issue:

In Elements Endpoint Protection profile on the Device Control settings page, in the Device filtering rules and Device access rules tables you have the option to either "Import from file (JSON)" and "Replace from file (JSON)". What is the difference between these two options? How does each behave? 

Resolution:

Import from file (JSON) adds the rules on top of the existing device filtering rules and device access rules. The already existing rules are not touched and new rules are added. 

Replace from file (JSON) removes the existing device filtering rules and device access rules rules and then replaces them with the rules taken from the file. This means that already existing rules will be deleted from the table and new rules are added from the JSON file.
