Why robust product updates are so important

The major IT outage in July 2024 caused by a faulty CrowdStrike update has brought many questions to us from our Partners and Customers, the most important one being “What steps does WithSecure take to avoid distributing a faulty update”.

We have now taken time to create an informative article on our public website, which documents the overall process.

Please note that this is a summary of the steps taken, the actual internal process is much more detailed than shown in this article.
