Keytool error: java.lang.Exception: Keystore file does not exist: /var/opt/f-secure/fspms/data/fspms-ca.jks on Elements Connector for Linux

Issue:

When exporting the self signed / self-generated certificate from the Elements Connector key store, I receive the error:

  • keytool error: java.lang.Exception: Keystore file does not exist: /var/opt/f-secure/fspms/data/fspms-ca.jks

Resolution:

Make sure that you have used the correct command and run it as root:
  • /opt/f-secure/fspms/jre/bin/keytool -keystore /var/opt/f-secure/fspms/data/fspms-ca.jks -alias fspm-ca -exportcert -file connector-ca.crt -rfc -protected
If you have used the correct command and the issue persists, try to reinstall Elements Connector.

Perform the full uninstallation and reinstall Elements Connector on their Linux server by following the instructions below:

1. Uninstall Elements Connector
rpm -e f-secure-elements-connector

2. Remove installation directories manually
rm -rf /opt/f-secure /etc/opt/f-secure /var/opt/f-secure

3. Download the installation package from the Elements Security Center portal's Management > Downloads page

4. Reinstall Elements Connector
rpm -i elements-connector.rpm

5. Run the command below to export the certificate from the Connector keystore
/opt/f-secure/fspms/jre/bin/keytool -keystore /var/opt/f-secure/fspms/data/fspms-ca.jks -alias fspm-ca -exportcert -file connector-ca.crt -rfc -protected
