How to change ports Linux Security 64 uses to connect to the Policy Manager Server?
Last updated
Issue:
How to change ports Linux Security 64 uses to connect to the Policy Manager Server? We want to use different ports than the default HTTP 80 and HTTPS 443 ports.
Resolution:
After installed Linux Security 64 with default Policy Manager HTTP 80 and HTTPS 443 ports,
you still can change the ports to other ports number from Policy Manager Console host policy settings:
- Log in to the Policy Manager Console
- Select the Linux host or policy domain from the domain tree
- Go to the Settings tab
- Navigate to the Linux > Centralized management settings page
- Enter the new ports to the HTTP port and HTTPS port fields
- Distribute the policy (Ctrl + D)
Remember to also change what ports the Policy Manager Server listens to after changing the ports on the hosts.
- Stop the Policy Manager Server service, use command prompt command:
- net stop wspms
- Open the Windows registry editor (regedit)
- Navigate to: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WithSecure\Policy Manager\Policy Manager Server
- Edit the value of [REG_DWORD]
- "HttpPortNum"=(REG_DWORD):82 (this is an example only, depends on your configuration)
- "HttpsPortNum"=(REG_DWORD):444 (this is an example only, depends on your configuration)
- Start the WithSecure Policy Manager Server service using below command prompt command:
- net start wspms
