New Linux Security 64 update has been released (2025-09-22)

New Linux Security 64 update (version 12.0.506) has been released. This update includes the following changes: 

• LNX-806: Product activation will now wait for all components to finish installing before exiting. Previously, installing some components was delayed after the installation was finished. This change ensures that the product is fully functional after the activation has finished. This change does not affect Policy Manager-managed installations.
• LNX-734: Product activation will now try to automatically detect and report certain common connectivity issues.
• LNX-852: The elements-migrator now supports command-line options for configuring HTTP proxy settings.
• Miscellaneous bug fixes and improvements.

This release makes the Elements Agent version 25.4 available (internal version 25.4.231).

The endpoints automatically upgrade, without a reboot.

This release introduces new features (with Profile Editor Update) and fixes.

Features:

• User-modified settings reporting:
  Agent now reports user-modified settings to the portal.
  These settings can be reset to profile values remotely via the portal UI.

  

• Additional host information is now reported to the portal:
  Agent reports the current Elements Connector address used by software updater.
  Agent reports the current definition updates source address.

  

• Improved agent UI:
  The agent UI now provides clearer indications when protection is turned off.

An update to the WithSecure Elements Mobile Protection app for Android (25.3.0023315) has been completed 8 July 2025. It will be released as a phased rollout over the next seven days.

• The app now supports SMS Protection for anti-phishing detection
• The app and the WithSecure Elements Endpoint Protection portal now support the SMS Protection setting

Dear community,

We’re pleased to announce the release of the new Windows Computers and Servers profile editors.

This release brings the following changes:

• UI redesign for profile editors, compare profiles, save and publish to multiple profiles
  • Help section is now on the right
  • End user rights section added to control the settings on the client UI
  • Some table layout changes 

• New: the new profile editor also includes the capability to create custom IOC (Indicators of compromise) rules

New Linux Security 64 installer package for Policy Manager has been released (2025-06-27)

New Linux Security 64 installer package version 5.0.12 compatible with Policy Manager Server version 16.00 and above has been released.

This release introduces the modernized Policy Manager 16.10 installation wizard support. The same package can be used with the older Policy Manager 16.x versions. There are no other changes to the functionality with this package.

• Application Control Enhancements: Added new rule types for BCD creation, OR condition to group multiple conditions in a single rule for greater rule flexibility.
• Disk Encryption: New option to encrypt system or all fixed drives directly from the profile editor, in addition to remote operations.
• Option to choose between classic or modern Windows 11 context menu for malware scanning.
• Introduced a new Artificial Intelligence category for URL filtering.
• Added support for disabling Device Control through remote operations. 
• Added a new option to disable the sending of security events for denied sites. When this setting is turned off, administrators will no longer receive security events related to access attempts on denied sites.  
• Introduced a new option: Skip a scheduled scan while the device is running on battery. Enable this setting to prevent scheduled scans from running when the device is on battery power, preserving battery life.
